Spring's Pedigree

Spring was born March 20, 2002, the first day of spring.  Her great grandsire Ch Polar Mist News Break, CD was called Thaw and thus her name.  She is a singleton puppy and from the get go has thought she was a "big dog".  She has an "in your face personality" like her sire and loves to show off in the ring.

SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

September, 2002:  Spring's first shows (majors) were 3 days after she turned 6 months old.  She got a very good look on the second of two shows until she started acting like the puppy she is.  She had fun and that is what is most important at this age.

October, 2002:   First point!  Spring did well in 2 of the 3 days she was shown at the Boise Cluster.  She was reserve winners bitch the first day and Winners Bitch the second day under judge Christina Hubble.  Her Uncle Tiger was BOW that same day, so it was truly "all in the family".

September, 2003:  First Major! WB/BOW for 3 points from Bred By Exhibitor class at Gallatin Dog Club, Bozeman, MT.  Spring was a bit "too happy" and was quite a handful in the ring.  Luckily Judge Warren Hudson did not hold her ring antics against her!

April, 2004:  Best Adult at the Idaho Capitol City Kennel Club sanctioned match in Boise under judge Virginia Buchanon.

August, 2004: Olympic K. C. Second Major!!!  Spring had been bald for every set of shows since September, 2003, so it was great to show her with hair.  At the supported entry following the SCWS Specialty, Spring was WB for 4 points and BOW from Bred By Exhibitor Class under judge David Powers.

September 2004: Third major!!!  WB/BOW/BOB over a male Special from BBE class at Helena Montana K.C. under judge Jon Cole. Spring was only at 2 of the 4 Fall shows and was reserve to the major the day before this win.  Younger brother Ransom was in his very first dog show and was reserve to the major the same day as Spring.

Best of Breed over Special for 3 point major

September, 2004:  WB/BOW/BOB at Richland K.C under judge Louise Van Alstyne. Spring now needs 3 single points to finish!!

October, 2004:  WB/BOW under judge Dr Donald Gill at the Boise Cluster.  Ransom was WD and BOS!! What a fun day!  She was also WB/BOW under judge James Frederiksen for her 14th point.  One point to go!!

September 2005: Fourth Major!!!!  Spring wasn't shown for 11 months due to my breaking my leg, and finished on September 22 at the Gallatin Dog Club show in Bozeman under judge Christina Hubbell.  Mrs Hubbell was not scheduled to judge, but I'm sure glad she did!  I wasn't able to run well enough to show off Spring's lovely sidegait, so entered her in Open and my friend Karin showed her to this fantastic finish!  Spring earned a 5 point major in tough competition and was also Best of Winners.  The only win Spring had in her career where she did not get BOW was her first point from puppy class when her Uncle Tiger was BOW!!
