Charlie is the girl we were not going to keep! We took a second look after she took a Puppy Match Group 1, beating three of her siblings for Puppy Best Of Breed and then took another Puppy Group 1 a few months later. Charlie is named after the main character in Stephen King's FIRESTARTER (played by Drew Barrymore in the movie).
Her show career started at the Samoyed Club Of Washington State, where she placed 3rd in 6 to 9 puppy class. Her brother Kodi took the glory at Nationals, but Charlie was the first to be pointed by going Winners Bitch and Best Opposite Sex (BOS) over a top bitch Special a week later.
She is our resident "thief", enjoys hoarding toys and plays her own special "doggy mind games". If we can't find something (particularly plastic items) we first look in her crate and have to pick through all the stuffed toys to find the stolen item(s). When told "Get in your crate", she'll occasionally look at me, look at her crate and then jump ON TOP of the crate. A variation on that theme is when she goes into another dog's crate instead of her own. The smile on her face says it all!

Charlie was Reserve Winners Bitch at the 1999 Gem State Cluster shows in Boise on 2 days and finally got Winners Bitch on the 4th day. Charlie has 3 points, but decided she doesn't like to show. Thus far, we have not been able to breed her.
